Close to the earth there are thousands and thousands of varieties of plants, fungi, grasses, lichens, along with bushes, shrubs, cacti, flowering trees, and fruits and vegetables of all types, sizes, and shapes, both edible and poisonous. Most of the outdoor variety don’t need our help to thrive and grow, except the ones we like to harvest for food and drink. Indoors is another story. Without water everything dies.
